If you read our story you will see we started out with a General Store. But it’s kind of escalated. We love what we do, and have been fortunate to add some great people to our business to help us take it even further. Today we have a fairly diverse business but specialties in some key areas.

General Store Bakery & Coffee House

Operating continuously since 1885, the Upper Beaconsfield General Store provides a Cafe and Retail service to the locals and those passing through Upper Beaconsfield. Our slogan is "We're Local".

Over the Road Cafe, Restaurant & Bar

Over the Road is "Where Fun Happens", operating 7 days a week in the main street of Emerald. We provide barista made coffee, delicious breakfasts, lunch and dinner services. We're new to the town but bring the same fun as when we first started out in Upper Beaconsfield.

General Store Garden Supplies & Stockfeed

Operating in the yard next door to our Cafe, Bakery & Retail operations, the Barnyard as it's known combines pet food & stockfeed, as well as Garden Supplies and utilities like Water Cartage, Firewood & LPG Gas.

General Road Catering & Event Hire

Combining the skills of our 45+ staff and years of hospitality experience just made sense. As a result General Road was launched as an overarching business, allowing us to provide Catering Services from our Chefs, Baristas & Wait Staff, Hire Services provided by our Barnyard team and much more.
